I use this backpack when hiking with my dog. It is so comfortable to wear with plenty of room inside for both his and my provisions. And when not in use, this brilliant backpack folds up into a handy pocket.

Just the right size and pockets for my requirements

I've now had this for 8 months and use it intermittently. I tried it out and about around town a couple of times, with nothing too heavy inside -- a water bottle, a jumper, a paperback book. The outer water bottle holders work well. It was easy to fold up and store in its own zipped up pocket when not in use. Unfortunately, the straps started to come away from the bag on the first proper trip I took it on. (Again not overloaded, only used as a day bag: Same contents as above plus a hat, lunch, camera and sunscreen). I bet the bag wasn't supposed to be constructed like this. It's stinginess in the making of the bag. There is webbing inside the decorative material, but it doesn't extend all the way into the bag. It makes the straps sit flat, but it doesn't support the bag! I used a travel sewing kit to shore up the straps. I'd suggest to readers they do this preventatively, *before* the straps tear away from the bag. The other thing of note is that when in use as a bag, not just storage, the outer pocket zipper is shockingly awful. It comes unzipped of its own accord, making it unusable. I sort of solved this by sewing on a button and putting a loop of elastic around the zipper pull, but I still wouldn't trust it with anything important. Do not put anything in the outside pocket that you don't mind losing, unless you figure out a way to keep it zipped tight. I really wish they hadn't used inferior materials and construction techniques for this bag, and I would be surprised if it was limited to this print pattern. As for the RSPB design, I still love it, and I get compliments on it all the time. I have photos of the flaws and my remedies, but can't see how to add them to the review. I'm about to go on another trip, and deciding whether or not to trust this bag has reminded me that I really ought to share my thoughts in a review. I want to be able to give this 5-stars. I just can't. Buy this bag with confidence if you have the skills to reinforce it. Otherwise, I'm terribly sorry, but this bag isn't fit for purpose.
